Help me to be alert to the leading that Your Holy Spirit gives me today

Verse of the Day,

Your unfailing love is better than life itself; how I praise you! I will praise you as long as I live, lifting up my hands to you in prayer.– Psalm 62:3-4 (NLT)

Prayer

Gracious Heavenly Father, when you talk, let me listen. Sometimes I do listen, but often I attend to other voices, perhaps to the voices of my family, my culture, my prejudice, my fear, my ambition. Your voice is easy to ignore, especially when I don’t like what I hear you saying. Forgive me, Lord, when I ignore your voice. Help me, I pray, to listen to you. Give me a growing desire to hear your voice above all others. Teach me to attend to you as you speak in Scripture, in community, and most of all in Jesus, your Word made flesh. May it be true of me, Lord, that when you talk, I listen.

Abba, Almighty Father, teach me how secret actions make or destroy my life. Show me the deep lines made by sorrow and discontent that cannot be effaced. May I look toward the corrections of life and not on my imperfections, that my life may be a helpful influence. Lord, make all things new. Usher in a new age; an age of love and caring, an age of compassion and equality. Thank You for granting me Your strength. Thank You for the ability that You have given me to be generous with those who are in need today. Help me to be alert to the leading that Your Holy Spirit gives me today. May my family be known as a generous family that acknowledges that we have received so much from You that we cannot help but give and give even more back to others in Your name. We ask through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Bible Promise of the Day

I will always be close when you need My comfort. Our Lord God Promises He will comfort us in Tribulation

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. (2nd Corinthians 1:3-4)

Prayer Quote of the day

God’s willingness to answer our prayers exceeds our willingness to give good and necessary things to our children, just as far as God’s ability, goodness and perfection exceed our infirmities and evil.
