Let me stand strong in Your righteousness.

Verse of the Day

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. (Galatians 5:22-23)

Prayer

Dearest Abba Father,  thank You for the gift of today. I choose to focus on the blessing of each moment instead of allowing the little things to steal my joy. Keep me close to You always as I submit every area of my heart and mind to You. Lord, I come to You in the precious name of Jesus, thanking You for boldness. I choose to stand strong in Your righteousness. I renounce the spirit of fear. I renounce anxiety. I renounce worry, and I take up faith which works by love. Thank You for having Your way in my life.

Lord if you count my sins, I’d be without any hope. But you are gracious and merciful. You do forgive. Thus I hope in you. I trust you with my present and my future. To be sure, there is still more to be redeemed in my life. May your forgiveness and healing touch every part of me. May I live each moment out of reverence for you, offering myself to you as a living sacrifice. Lord, how thankful we are for your reconciling work in Christ. Apart from him, we would not be able to be reconciled to you. Apart from him, we would not be able to be reconciled to each other. Yet, through the cross of Christ, you have made reconciliation possible. You invite us to be reconciled to you and to each other. As this happens, your work of gathering all things in Christ advances.

Thank you, dear Lord, for the season of Advent, for the opportunity to be reminded of just how much I need you. All praise be to you. Thank you Lord that you have given us the code of ethics to live by. Help me to know each of these commandments and to do all that I can to live by them today. Bless my family today and may they not be swayed by the things of the world that they face. Give each one of us the courage to stand up for what we believe and for the one we serve. You give so many good things, Lord. Help me to see past the things that are wrong in my life and see all the things that are so right. Thank You for all the blessings You have given me. Through Jesus Christ, we say this prayer. Amen
