Help me to seek Your wisdom

Verse of the Day

Come and show me your mercy, as you do for all who love your name.  Psalms 119:132 (NLT)

Prayer

Dearest Abba Father, today I keep my heart and mind focused on You. I choose to ignore the naysayers. I choose to turn away from critical voices. I declare by faith that I will accomplish the plan You have for me as I daily put You first in everything that I do. Lord, I choose to trust in Your timing. I trust that You have my best in mind. I believe that You are working behind the scenes on my behalf. Thank You for ordering my steps and leading me in the life of blessing You have in store for me.

Thank you, Lord, for loving us before we do anything, say anything, or believe anything. Your love calls us, heals us, renews us, transforms us, and inspires us. Lord, thank You for speaking to me so many times. Forgive me for the times I did not listen. Help me to seek Your wisdom. Help me to read Your word and to meditate on it. Most of all, might the prayer of my heart be, “Speak, Lord, Your servant is listening.” Father, search me and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

Make me a good example, Lord, of a life made new through Your love. Help others to see in me that Your way is the best way. Thank You that You have created me in Your image so that I can have fellowship with You. Help me this day to tell others of the fellowship that can be theirs when they have a relationship with God, their creator. In Jesus’ name, I Pray, Amen

(Prayer for Parents)

Those of us who are parents ask for your help, Lord, to love our children as you love us: unconditionally, graciously. May all of us in our relationships with children embody your love, the love you have shown us in Christ, a self-giving love, a love that is prior to good behavior. May this kind of love be found not just in us but also in our Christian communities, so that children might grow upon a solid foundation of love to become healthy people who know how to love.

Help us, Lord, to love our children abundantly, unconditionally, and equally. May we find ways to express my love for them that communicate this reality. Thank you, Heavenly Father, for showing us what true parental love is like. Thank you for loving us before we loved you, and for sharing your love for us, most of all in your Son. Once again, we are blessed by the truthfulness of Scripture, that we might learn both what to do and what not to do. May we never give love as a prize or withhold love as a punishment. Teach us how we might rightly rejoice in the good things our children do. And help us to discipline them in a way that does not contradict or deny our love. Through the grace of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen.

Bible Promise of the Day

I give good gifts to My children when they ask. God Promises He Gives Gifts to His Children

If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him. – (Matthew 7:11)

Prayer Quote of the day

When we go to our meeting with God, we should go like a patient to his doctor, first to be thoroughly examined and afterwards to be treated for our ailment. Then something will happen when you pray.
