Verse of the Day
“Open for me the gates where the righteous enter and I will go in and thank the Lord. These gates lead to the presence of the Lord, and the godly enter there.” Psalms 118:19-20 (NLT)
Prayer
Dearest loving Father, thank You for Your perfect peace. Even when things don’t make sense, I choose to trust You. Even when I don’t feel victorious, I know that with You, I am always an overcomer. I choose to put my faith and hope in You today knowing that I will never be disappointed . I come to You today and invite You to fill my whole being. Give me Your comfort and strength and empower me by Your Holy Spirit to live in the victory You have planned for me. Lord, help me to know You better. Help me learn more about Your desires and passions. Help me know Your love, grace and peace. Teach me, guide me, instruct me I pray. Help me grow more and more in You.
Father, I accept Christ’s death on the cross for me and ask You to forgive all my sins. I accept Christ as my Savior and put my faith in Him. Take my life and help me live it for You. Help me to be alert so that when my spiritual alarm goes off that I will be quick to draw back and reject any unwise choices that I face. Help me to realize that my conscience is not designed to be my guide but it is a tool of the Holy Spirit dealing within me. Help me to be submissive to the Holy Spirit so I can conform to the likeness of Christ. Help me to shrug off the unkind words and actions of the people around me. Lift me above the hurts that come from unthinking and cruel people. Teach me to respond in love, no matter how I am treated.
As you know, Lord, we live in a culture that encourages us not to be satisfied with what we have. Enough is rarely enough. Help us, Lord, to think about our possessions differently. Give us wisdom to know when enough is enough. Teach us to be satisfied with, and, yes, grateful for what we have. We ask this in the matchless name of Jesus Christ, Amen

Prayer Quote of the day
Did any of you, parents, ever hear your child wake from sleep with some panic fear and shriek the mother’s name through the darkness? Was not that a more powerful appeal than all words? And, depend upon it, that the soul which cries aloud on God, “the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,” though it have “no language but a cry,” will never call in vain.
