Help me, Lord, to see myself as you see me

Verse of the Day

In his grace, God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well.  Romans 12:6 (NLT)

Prayer
Our loving Father in heaven, today I surrender my thoughts and mind to You. Help me retrain my thoughts so that they are in line with Your will for my life. I choose to have a positive attitude of faith and expectancy and thank You for empowering me to enjoy the good life You have for me. Lord, thank You for loving me and making me in Your image. Today I choose to hit the delete button on negative thinking. I choose to declare what You say about me so I can walk and live the life that You have prepared for me.

Lord, thank You for Your love. I want to surrender to this love. Help me know You, spend time with You and learn to completely trust You. Help me love You so I will naturally obey. Help me to desire only to be successful from Your perspective and not from mine. Instruct me from Your Word, as I study it, so that I may be a successful disciple for You. Enable me to exemplify You in all that I do. I want to walk in Your footsteps, Lord. Help me to be willing to share with others what I have been given. Teach me to use my time, my talents, my gifts, and my service to show Your glory.

Lord Jesus, You know the pain I harbor in my heart. Forgiveness seems so far from my grasp, yet I know that You have commanded me to forgive. Father, forgiving those that have hurt me is hard. Bring to my mind today those that I need to forgive. Then help me, by Your grace, to be honest about my hurt and hate and deliberately choose to forgive them, just as You deliberately died on the cross and forgave me. Set me free from the bondage of unforgiveness. Help me, Lord, to see myself as you see me. May I honestly confess where I am living a life more for my own gain than for the good of others and the work of your kingdom. By your grace, may my life be, not about me and my needs, but about those I am leading, those we are serving together, and the work to which you have called us. I ask this in the matchless name of Jesus Christ, Amen

Bible Promise of the Day

Nothing will be impossible for those who have even a little faith. God Promises His Power is Through Faith in Christ.

Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, “Why could we not cast it out?” So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you. – (Matthew 17:19-20)

Prayer Quote of the day

When you cease from labour, fill up your time in reading, meditation, and prayer: and while your hands are labouring, let your heart be employed, as much as possible, in divine thoughts.
