Forgive me for not persevering in prayer

Verse of the Day

“You light a lamp for me. The LORD, my God, lights up my darkness.”  Psalms 18:28 (NLT)

Prayer

Almighty God,  I come to You, calling You Father. Not a father that I have to please or fear, but a Heavenly Father, that has an unconditional love for me. Help me fully appreciate that fact. Help me know deep in my heart how rich and vast Your love is for me. Cast out all fear from my heart I pray.  Today I come boldly to You. Thank You for giving me life through Your Son, Jesus. I surrender every area of my heart to You and ask that You make me whole and complete. Set me free and teach me to walk in Your ways. Thank You for setting me free in every area of my life. I declare today that nothing can hold me back. I declare that You have set me free! Thank You for freedom and victory in every area of my life.

Abba Father, how I thank You for Your unfailing love toward me. Thank You for not punishing me for my sins or dealing harshly with me as I deserve. How I praise You for removing my sins as far from me as the east is from the west. Thank You for Jesus my Savior. Lord, forgive me for giving up so easily. Forgive me for not persevering in prayer. Today, I will trust in Your love and not give up. Help me today not to be a doubter like Thomas was when he saw Jesus after His resurrection. Help me to keep my eyes fixed on Jesus so that my faith may never waver. Give me the faith to make every moment of today a positive experience that honors and glorifies Your name. Lord, help me to grow up, to be a mature Christian, one who has learned to accept disappointment and adversity. Strengthen my heart, and give me patience. Help me, Lord, to develop a compassionate heart. By your grace, may I weep with those who weep and rejoice with those who rejoice. In my daily life, may my compassion be balanced with clear judgment and wise discernment.

Lord, thank you for the gift of this world. Though we have messed it up in many ways, this world still reflects your creativity and goodness. Thank you for the beauty of creation and for the way the world provides for our needs. Help us, Lord, to live as if this world really mattered to you. Even as we realize that life is not merely physical, may we take seriously our participation in the material world. May what we do in this world with our bodies make a difference. May we participate in your work in the world each day, honoring you in all we do.  I pray in Your Son’s precious name. Amen
