Lord, be my anchor and support

Verse of the Day

Have mercy on me, O God, because of your unfailing love.  Psalms 51:1 (NLT)

Prayer

Abba Heavenly Father, today I choose to put You first. I acknowledge that without You, I can do nothing. I invite You to have Your way in my life as I seek You first in all that I do. Lord , I choose to trust that You are working in the background on my behalf. I believe that You can take me further, faster than I could ever imagine. I surrender every area of my life to You. Use me for Your glory. Father, how amazing Your grace is toward me! Father, how wonderful it will be to experience your presence in a way that exceeds our wildest imagination. How amazing to be with you without mediation or separation! Thank You for Your continuous forgiveness. Thank You for Your mercy. Thank You for Your unfailing love.

Lord, help me to be alert so that when my spiritual alarm goes off that I will be quick to draw back and reject any unwise choices that I face. Help me to realize that my conscience is not designed to be my guide but it is a tool of the Holy Spirit working within me. Help me to be submissive to the Holy Spirit so I can conform to the likeness of Christ. Until now,  we are blessed to know your presence, and for this we are grateful. Thank you for making yourself known to us through the Spirit, through the church, through your Word, through nature, and through so many other ways. Thank you for being with us at all times, even when we don’t perceive it. Help us, Lord, to sense your presence, to become more attentive to you at all times. May we live each moment with you and for you, through Christ our Lord

Lord, be my anchor and support. When the day gets roughest, help me to remember that I am firmly established on Your Spirit and in Your love. Give us fresh eyes to see the wonder of your good news, so that we might live this good news each and every day. Lord Jesus, as we pray for you to come in the future, we also thank you for coming to us in the present moment. Thank you for being with us when we gather for worship, when we serve others, or when we quiet our hearts in prayer. We also thank you for being with us, not just when we are conscious of your presence, but at all times. How grateful we are that you are with us always! Help us, Lord, to become more aware of your presence in places we least expect it. Help us to be attentive to you in our daily work, in all of our tasks, projects, and relationships. May we be open to your guidance as we work. May we seek to honor you in all we do. We ask this in the matchless name of Jesus Christ, Amen
