Help me see what You see today

Verse of the Day

“The LORD is my shepherd; I have all that I need.”  Psalms 23:1 (NLT)

Prayer

Dearest Abba Yahweh,  thank You for another day, another opportunity to praise You and pursue the dreams You’ve given me. Help me to stay filled with Your joy, which is strength, so I can serve You with my whole heart in everything that I do. Father, thank You for loving and setting me free. Thank You for Your promise of peace and victory in every area of my life. I choose to keep my mind focused on You today, knowing that You always cause me to triumph. Lord, give me spiritual vision. Help me see what You see today. Lead my heart into a full understanding and expression of Your love and patience so I can apply it to my life and those around me.

Help me to remember that Your goal is to destroy wickedness and not people. Help me to do my part in overcoming evil as I look toward the day when You will defeat all evil and I will reign with You for an eternity. Father, please give me a more complete knowledge of Your will for my life so I can live for you better and better. It is my desire to live a life that will always honor and please You, so I ask that You will give a more complete knowledge of Your will and help me gain in spiritual wisdom and understanding. May we use your good gifts to complete your will in our life for your purposes and glory. Allow me to run to You, but sometimes to wrong is very tempting and appealing. Please grant me strength to resist and hold onto what I know is right.

Jesus, help me to remember the resurrection life you poured into me when I first called on your name. As your Spirit guides me, may I never forget that your own power resides in me and flows through me at home, at church, in my work, and in all the relationships you have brought into my life. Make me attentive to where you are leading me today so that I may be faithful to invite your resurrection life to touch others through me. May I never tire of trusting you until that day when you come again. Father, I believe that Jesus will return one day to make all the sad things come untrue and I want to be a part of giving a glimpse to others of this resurrection life offered in him. Help me not to be afraid to embrace other peoples’ pain, to cry with them, and to remind them that your love has not faded. May I be faithful  servant who offers real hope that comes only in and through you. I pray in Jesus’s precious name. Amen

Bible Promise of the Day

My everlasting joy and gladness will drive all sorrow and mourning away. God Promises His Joy Will Drive Away Sorrow and Mourning

So the ransomed of the Lord shall return, And come to Zion with singing, With everlasting joy on their heads. They shall obtain joy and gladness; Sorrow and sighing shall flee away. (Isaiah 51:11)

Prayer Quote of the day

If any of you should ask me for an epitome of the Christian religion, I should say that it is in one word – prayer. Live and die without prayer, and you will pray long enough when you get to hell.
