Verse of the Day
For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Ephesians 2:10 (NIV)
Prayer
Dearest loving Father, today I release a slave mentality. I pray and ask for Your complete deliverance from every form of bondage in my life. Help me to think the way You think and see the way You see. Thank You for setting me free in every area of my life. Thank You for big dreams and visions for my life. I trust that You are taking me higher and leading me to increase, first in You, and then in my influence in the world around me. I refuse to settle and trust that You are at work. Today I refuse bitterness. I refuse to allow the past to keep me stuck. Right now I forgive those who have hurt me. I pray blessing on them, that they would come to know Your truth. Father, thank You for setting my heart free. Today I dedicate my body to Your service and glory. Help me to honor You and make good decisions for my health.
Dear Lord Jesus, I try to live like You but I fall so short. I cannot do it by myself. Please help me, through the power of Your Holy Spirit and Your word, to live like You. Thank You for accepting me and continuing to guide and direct my paths. Thank You Lord for helping me to live a spiritual life. Today, I reflect upon your self-giving sacrifice for me. Help me to live each moment with great gratitude. Help me to offer myself to you more fully by surrendering my desires, my agenda, my dreams and my whole self. Be patient with me, Lord, I run off in so many wrong directions, but I want always to come back to You. Thank You for not giving up on me.
Father, I know that you love me but I haven’t sensed a friendship with you in my heart. I want to be your friend. I want to know you in a much deeper and more personal way. Help me to that end. Guide me into a friendship with you I pray. May my heart be filled with music that honors and glorifies Your name today. May my love for You embrace my whole being. Teach me, O Lord, true love. Though, by your grace, I know you personally and have come to understand who you are, there is much I don’t quite get. So I ask you to help me, Lord, to know you more truly. May I lay my confusion before you, so that you might make yourself known to me more completely. Preserve me from the arrogance of thinking I have you all figured out. In humility, may I open my mind and heart to you. As I study the your words, teach me through your Word and by your Spirit. In the Sweet and mighty name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen
Bible Promise of the Day
My lovingkindness is more precious than life. God Promises that His love for us is more precious than life
Because Your lovingkindness is better than life, My lips shall praise You. – (Psalm 63:3)
Prayer Quote of the day
…people mostly pray as if there were no God with them, or as if He did not heed their prayers. Let us ascribe to the Lord at least the same amount of attention that good parents show to the requests of their children, at least that provident and attentive love which good parents have for their children.
