Speak to me, Lord, so that I might hear, believe, and obey.

Verse of the Day,

If you listen to constructive criticism, you will be at home among the wise. If you reject discipline, you only harm yourself; but if you listen to correction, you grow in understanding.– Proverbs 15:31-32 (NLT)

Prayer

Heavenly Father, I receive Your truth today. I receive Your promises. I ask that You ignite my heart with Your holy fire so that I can pursue Your perfect plan for my life. Make my thoughts and words agreeable to Your will. Fulfil in me, O God, those desires of goodness which You have created in my heart, and perfect the work of faith, that Jesus Christ may be glorified in me.

Almighty Father, today we acknowledge that you are the one who defines reality in a unique way by creating all things, ordering all things, and naming all things. You define what is and what is good. Gracious Father, thank you for speaking to us in ways we can understand. Not only have you revealed yourself in actual words, but also you have taken on human form, coming to us in Jesus, the Word made flesh. Help me, God, to listen to Jesus. May I pay close attention to his words and deeds. May I discern the truth that he reveals and embodies. May I be open to how Jesus speaks through Scripture and through the Spirit-inspired community. Speak to me, Lord, so that I might hear, believe, and obey.

Abba Father, help us never to disappoint You in our faith in Your power and  Your promise to answer our faith. Grant this,  O merciful Father, through Jesus Christ, our Mediator and Redeemer. Amen.

Bible Promise of the Day

When you walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will be with you.  God promises that He will be with us in the shadow of death

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me(Psalm 23:4)

Prayer Quote of the day

I know divers, and divers men know me, which love me as I do them: yet if I should pray them, when I meet them in the street openly, they would abhor me; but if I pray them where they be appointed to meet me secretly, they will hear me and accept my request.
