Give me the strength today to not be a slacker

Verse of the Day

As I learn your righteous regulations, I will thank you by living as I should!– Psalm 119:7 (NLT)

Prayer

Dearest Loving Father, thank You for completing what You started in my life. I trust that no matter how dark things may seem, You are my shining light of hope. I thank You for working in the background to carry me through to the place of victory in every area of my life.

Gracious Lord, thank You for Your resurrection power at work in my life. Today, I give You my broken dreams, disappointments, failures and setbacks, trusting that You will breathe Your life into me. I trust that You have a good plan for my future, and You are leading me into total victory. Lord, allow me to run to You. Please grant me strength to resist very tempting and appealing wrong ways and hold onto what I know is right. Help me today to control my tongue. May my words today honor You in all that I do.

Father, I am tired of the furious pace of the world. Sometimes I just want to run and hide. Allow me to run to You. Be the source of my peace, Lord. My Father, my soul sinks with shame when I think of the great moments that I have given over to mean little things. Help me that I may reckon more on the value of time, and live not to tolerate life, but to have a great need for it, that day by day I may have a deeper consciousness of its appropriate use.

Give me the strength today to not be a slacker. Help me to know what You want me to do and then to obey Your call. Keep me from ignoring Your voice and choosing sinful ways that do not honor Your name. You are so important to me, Lord. Help me to prove, through the living of my life, how much You mean to me. Inspire me with Your holiness, and let me worship you always. We ask this in the matchless name of Jesus Christ, Amen

Bible Promise of the Day

God promises that He walks with us in our troubles.

“Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You will revive me; you will stretch out Your hand against the wrath of my enemies, and Your right hand will save me.” Psalm 138:7, NKJV.

Prayer Quote of the day

If we rely on the Holy Spirit, we shall find that our prayers become more and more inarticulate; and when they are inarticulate, reverence grows deeper and deeper.
