Help us, Lord, to live faithfully in light of Your salvation

Verse of the Day

For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world.  I John 2:16 (NLT)

Prayer

Dearest loving Father, thank You for the work You are doing in my life. I surrender every part of my being to You. Thank You for transforming me as I keep my heart and mind stayed on You. Lord, today I choose to trust in You. I release frustration over the dreams and desires in my heart, knowing that You know what’s best for me. I choose to trust Your timing because You are faithful, and I will bless You in all things.

Abba Father, I want to live for You, but I acknowledge that I keep tripping up. Help me take my faith and add to it goodness, knowledge, self-control, perseverance, godliness, brotherly kindness and love in baby steps. Holy Spirit, convict me, guide me and give me the discipline to begin living for You today. Lord I come in faith to touch the hem of Your garment and be healed. Heal me today I pray. I am so grateful that You were seeking me out and continued to do so until I opened the door of my heart to let You in. Use me today to show to others that You are their seeking Savior, patiently waiting for them to open the door of their hearts. Help us, Lord, to live faithfully in light of Your salvation. Thank you for the multitude of ways in which your Word tells the truth. Most of all, thank you for revealing in Scripture the truth of your love and grace in Jesus Christ.

Father, thank you for creating us as your co-workers, for giving us authority over your creation. And, when we messed everything up because of sin, thank you for not giving up on us. Thank you for redeeming us through Christ. Thank you for allowing us to participate with you in your work of redemption, as we live and proclaim the good news. Help us to use the authority and opportunity you have entrusted to us for the glory of Your Kingdom. May we exercise our  leadership in this world  humbly as your servants. Thank you for the promise of the future, when we will serve you intimately and reign with you forever. Let the words of my mouth produce a joyful noise, acceptable to the Lord and glorifying Him in all ways. In the marvelous name of our savior and Lord Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen

Prayer Quote of the day

You may as soon find a living man who does not breathe, as a living Christian who does not pray.
