Help me to do what is good and acceptable in Your sight

Verse of the Day

Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the LORD. Psalm 31:24

Prayer

Our Father in heaven, thank You for the promise to fill my hunger. I open my heart to You and ask that You draw me by Your Spirit. Teach me to walk in Your ways of righteousness that I may honor and serve You all the days of my life. I bless Your name today. Lord, today I make the decision to press past small things. I let go of small thinking and small doing and choose to open my heart and mind to You. Lead me in the way I should go. Thank You for Your everlasting love

Thank You for preparing a place in heaven for me. Thank You for sending Your Son to this earth to pay the penalty for my sins. And thank You that Jesus is in heaven and preparing a place for me for eternity. You have given us a tall assignment, Lord, one beyond our capacity apart from the power of your Spirit at work in us. Transform our minds and hearts so that we might truly live as people of love and justice.

Help us also to embody the gospel of reconciliation in our work, whatever our role or context. May our colleagues see in us the reality of the gospel. Our collapsing world does desperately need our reconciled witness, Lord. Help us to live it so that we might speak it with integrity. Give us the grace and courage to seek reconciliation with others. Bind us together by your Spirit, so that we might live out in our daily lives the reality of the gospel. Help me to find people today who need to feel accepted. May these people see Christ through my words and deeds. Help my family and friends to stand up for what they believe and not to be swayed by the crowd. Help me to do what is good and acceptable in Your sight so that I may know beyond any doubt the good and acceptable and perfect will of God for my life. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen
