Prayer
Abba Heavenly Father, I come to You today and invite You to fill my whole being. Give me Your lasting comfort and strength. Empower me by Your Holy Spirit to live in the victory You have established for me. Lord, I trust that You are willing and able to make a way where there seems to be no way in my life. Fill me with Your peace and faith and give me a vision for all You have for me. Lord, send the breath of Your Spirit to cleanse me of all sin. Free me from the oppression of all that I have done wrong, through Your blessed forgiveness.
Help me this day to get rid of any selfish ambition in my life so that through my words and deeds others may see Christ through me. Give me a humble spirit and a servant’s heart. Open my eyes to see the needs of those around me so that I can show them kindness, love and understanding. Guide my family today and may each of us do all we do today to honor Your name. We yearn for you to heal us, to restore our relationships, and to finish your good work in us. Moreover, we ache for you to mend this broken world. Our hearts desire the new creation, when children will no longer die from hunger, when people will no longer kill each other, when oppression will be shattered by your justice, when all people groups will be reconciled in your love.
All praise be to you, O God, because you will one day unite everything in Christ. The walls that divide us will be completely broken down. Your peace, justice, and love will fill the world, over which you will reign fully. We long for this day! We ask this in the matchless name of Jesus Christ, Amen
