Father, today I choose happiness, joy, peace and faith

Verse of the Day

“This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.”  Psalm 118:24

Prayer

Dearest loving Father, today I choose happiness, joy and faith. Thank You that this is a day that You have made; please help me to rejoice today and be glad in it. thank You for Your faithfulness in my life. I choose today to believe Your Word. I choose to trust Your promises. I choose to keep standing, keep believing and keep asking because I will receive. Lord, today I say Yes to You. I say “yes” to your promises and “yes” to Your ways. Help me to live a life pleasing to You and bring You glory in all that I say and do.

Help me to understand the importance of being an example of Christ by my words and deeds. Give me direction as to how I can not only be an example to my family but to teach them how to honor You and be an example of You in all that they do. When I get discouraged in my faith, Lord, turn me back to You, that I might know Your truth. Do not let me be swayed by false teachings that sound so appealing. Protect me with Your love.

Father, today I choose happiness, joy, peace and faith. Thank You that this is a day that You have made; please help me to rejoice today and be glad in it. Help me, Lord, to delight in your goodness, to enjoy your grace, to laugh when I am blessed. May I be free to share my joy with others. At the same time, help me to be tenderhearted with others, to suffer with those who suffer, to weep with those who weep. Thank You Lord for helping me to remember and to celebrate your good gifts to me. Thank you, Lord. Thank you. In Jesus’ name.  Amen

Prayer Quote of the day

How often we say about our earthly friends, “I really would like to have a good quiet settled talk with them so that I can really get to know them.” And shouldn’t we feel the same about our Heavenly Friend, that we may really get to know Him? These thoughts have taught me the importance of the children of God taking time to commune daily with their Father, so that they may get to know His mind and to understand better what His will is.
