May I live and speak with integrity before you

Verse of the Day

“Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.”  Psalm 139:23-24 (NIV)

Prayer

Dearest Abba Father, thank You for Your love and grace. Today, I come to You as a little child—with faith, hope and trust. Show me Your love, show me Your grace, and show me the good plan You have for my future. Lord, thank You for loving me. Thank You for Your hand of grace upon me. I trust that You are with me, that You will never leave me nor forsake me. Help me to always keep my eyes on You, the Author and Finisher of my faith.

Abba Father, help me to live in such a way that I am known for what matters most. May I live and speak with integrity before you, so that my life reflects your presence and your call upon me. Father, I must confess that there are so many times I feel so distant from You. I admit my own wandering. Forgive me for the sin that has separated us and help me to stay in close fellowship with you. I give you my heart and my mind. Lead me by Your Holy Spirit, I pray. Help me and my family to be content in Christ throughout this day. May we learn from Your Word that whatever situation we are in to trust in God’s promise to supply all our need according to Christ’s glorious riches. Forgive my weakness, fill me with strength, and continually remind me of Your great mercy.

Lord, I thank you for all the different ways we belong in life. Thank you for the gifts of family, work, friendship, and community. Thank you for our churches and our teams, our cities and our nations. Thank you, most of all, for calling us into relationship with you. Thank you for the fact that we belong to you by grace, and that nothing in all creation can separate us from your love in Christ. May we learn, Lord, to belong to you first and through you to belong to others. All glory be to you, O God. We ask this in the matchless name of Jesus Christ, Amen

A father of the fatherless, a defender of widows, Is God in His holy habitation. – (Psalm 68:5)

Prayer Quote of the day

Prayer is not eloquence, but earnestness; not the definition of helplessness, but the feeling of it; not figures of speech, but earnestness of soul.
