Verse of the Day
“Come close to God, and God will come close to you.” James 4:8 (NLT)
Prayer
Dearest Abba Yahweh, today I choose wisdom by choosing to honor You. I put You first in my heart, my mind, my emotions and my actions. Show me Your ways that I may walk with You and acknowledge You in everything I do. Lord, today I set my focus on You. I choose to forget the past by forgiving others so that I can look straight ahead to Your promises. I ask that You direct my heart on the path of life that You have for me.
My Father, I pray that if I meet with difficulty, I may not go backward, nor stand still, and fear to go forward. Unfold to me the depth and breadth of the ideal and beautiful, that I may not be content to succeed in the shallowness of life: but may I aspire to the height of the soul, even if I fail to acquire great things. Lord. may I serve you in all I do. May I seek to honor you by what I do and how I do it. May my relationships reflect your grace and truth. If, along the way, my name is well regarded and recognized, may I receive this as a gift from you, something to be received with gratitude and stewarded with wisdom.
Father, thank You for Your goodness and faithfulness in my life. I have been transformed by a love far beyond my understanding. Thank You, Lord, for taking my life and making it something holy and special. Make my life a glory to Your name. I choose to cast my cares on You. I choose to trust even when I don’t understand. I choose to believe that You have a good plan and will bring me to a flourishing finish . To you be all the glory, Lord! Through the grace of Jesus Christ, the High Priest, who is interceding for me before you, I pray. Amen
Bible Promise of the Day
I will rescue you from evil and safely deliver you into My kingdom. God Promises He Will Deliver Us Safely into His Kingdom
And the Lord will deliver me from every evil work and preserve me for His heavenly kingdom. To Him be glory forever and ever. Amen– (2nd Timothy 4:18)
Prayer Quote of the day
I think Christians fail so often to get answers to their prayers because they do not wait long enough on God. They just drop down and say a few words, and then jump up and forget it and expect God to answer them. Such praying always reminds me of the small boy ringing his neighbor’s door-bell, and then running away as fast as he can go.
