Thank You for rescuing me from the snare of sin

Verse of the Day

This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him. I John 5:14-15

Prayer

Dearest loving Father in heaven, today I open my heart and life to You in a fresh, new way. I surrender every detail, every moment of every day to You. I choose to acknowledge You in all my ways knowing that Your hand is upon me. Thank You for looking beyond the surface and seeing the real me. Thank You for placing Your potential on the inside of me. Help me to know You more and see You more clearly so I can follow Your ways all the days of my life. Father, I come to You right now and tell You from the bottom of my heart, I love You. I commit my life to You. I truly do love You Lord.

Lord, I don’t always trust your way to be the best way. My deep pain often keeps me from being able to love. Please heal my hurt and, where I am unable, give me love for those who bring me pain. Let your love be my strength in all the places I am weak. Thank You Lord, for the blessed assurance I have that You will never reject me because You have promised to never leave or forsake those who love and obey You. Thank You for suffering rejection on the cross to save me from my sins. Thank You for rescuing me from the snare of sin. On my own, I get so tangled in sin, but with You to guide me, I can avoid the traps and remain free for a life of joy and love. When I am going through difficult times, help me to trust you, Lord.

Abba Father, forgive me for putting worldly standards ahead of Your Godly ones. Help me to work on my heart and all that I am inside instead of worrying about my outward image. Thank you for your amazing grace in our lives. Thank you for redeeming us through the blood of the cross of Christ, who suffered for us, for our pain and loss. Thank you for using every part of our lives for your purposes if we seek to follow you. Thank you for the fact that you are working all things together for good for those who love you and are called according to your purpose. To be you be all the glory. Through Jesus Christ, we say this prayer. Amen

The Lord knows the days of the upright, And their inheritance shall be forever. – (Psalm 37:18)

Prayer Quote of the day

Oh, without prayer what are the church’s agencies, but the stretching out of a dead man’s arm, or the lifting up of the lid of a blind man’s eye? Only when the Holy Spirit comes is there any life and force and power.
