Verse of the Day
And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death. Romans 8:2 (NLT)
Prayer
Dearest loving Father in heaven, thank You for ordering my steps. I trust that You are aligning people and opportunities in my life. I rest in You and praise You for Your goodness . Thank You for orchestrating my life. I trust that my times are in Your hands. I trust that You are working things out for my good as I keep my faith and hope in You. Father, I come to the altar of sacrifice. Might You use me today to love, to sacrifice, and care for those in need. Might others see my life today and come to know You, the true and living God.
Lord, I come today, crying out for You. I am seeking You, Lord, with all my heart. Hear my prayer, make Your presence known to me as You have promised. Guide me, lead me, comfort me with Your Holy Spirit I pray. Father, I need Your direction in my life. Show me the way to go. Guide me today as I follow You. Help me and my family to carefully evaluate where we are investing our time talents and treasures. Give us the wisdom that only You can give to help us be in Your perfect will concerning our investment of our time, talent and treasure. Abba Father, there is so much we don’t understand about the future. You have given us enough to go on, but not many of the details. Nevertheless, we know that how we live in this life matters, not only what we believe, but also how we live each day. Help us, we pray, to honor you in all we do. In particular, may our daily work be a faithful response to your sovereignty and grace.
Jesus, I desire many things. When I’m hungry, I yearn for bread. When I’m lost, I seek guidance. When I sin, I want forgiveness. Thank you for all the ways you meet my needs. Indeed, every good gift comes from you. But, may I not be satisfied simply with the gifts you offer. Even as I receive your gifts with gratitude, may I seek you even more. May the greatest desire of my life be to know you intimately and to serve you with all that I am. Give me the courage to lead others to look beyond their temporary longings and to hunger and thirst for you and your love. Forgive me when I don’t appreciate all that I have. Too often I look at the things I don’t have, rather than at the things I do have. Thank You, Lord, for all the blessings You shower upon me. We ask this in the matchless name of Jesus Christ, Amen
Bible Promise of the Day
I have chosen the poor to be rich in faith and heirs of My kingdom. God promises that He will make us rich in faith
Listen, my beloved brethren: Has God not chosen the poor of this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to those who love Him? – (James 2:5)
Prayer Quote of the day
If sinners be damned, at least let them leap to Hell over our bodies. If they will perish, let them perish with our arms about their knees. Let no one go there unwarned and unprayed for.
