Verse of the Day
If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking. James 1:5 (NLT)
Prayer
Dearest Abba Yahweh, thank You for the gifts and talents that are within me. I choose today to have an excellent spirit. I choose to shake off the old; I choose to forgive. I take my eyes off of my circumstances and lift my eyes to You knowing that You are the one who lifts me up. Lord, thank You for completing what You’ve started in my life. I choose to trust You. I choose to wait on You. I put my faith in You knowing that through faith and patience every promise will come to pass.
Father, today I ask you to give me the right attitude about riches. Help me not to be jealous of those that have riches. Help me to be the steward of any riches You give me in a way that honors Your name. Lord, You know how feeble my faith can be. I am so glad that You can take it and use it. As You do, please help my faith to grow that I may believe You for even greater things. Help me, dear Lord, to imitate what is good in life and not on the evil we witness daily. Guide me as I tell my family and friends that he who does good and lives a life that is not upside-down is of God. Be the source of my understanding and my liberation.
Heavenly Father, we want to worship you in all that we do, including our daily routine work and life. So teach us, Lord, to discern wisely and well what motivates our work. Help us to identify ways in which our work is idolatrous. By your Spirit, may we learn to give all that we are to you as we do our daily work. May you be glorified in what we do, how we do it, and why we do it. Help me, Lord, to do in my work that which is most important, whether or not it is the thing that brings the most praise. Help me, Lord, to be faithful in my closest relationships, especially with my family. Keep me from getting so wrapped up in work that I forget the relational dimension of my calling. Above all, may I give first place in life to my relationship with you. May I live for your pleasure most of all. To you be all the glory! We ask this in the matchless name of Jesus Christ so that He be glorified through us, Amen
Bible Promise of the Day
I have chosen you to be like My Son, so you could be part of My family. God Promises His chosen are part of His family
For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. – (Romans 8:29)
Prayer Quote of the day
Often it is hard. So hard, in fact, that Jesus’ decree to love and pray for our opponents is regarded as one of the most breathtaking and gut-wrenching challenges of his entire Sermon on the Mount, a speech renowned for its outrageous claims. There was no record of any other spiritual leader ever having articulated such a clear-cut, unambiguous command for people to express compassion to those who are actively working against their best interests.
