Prayer
Dearest loving Abba Father, I submit my mind, will and heart to You. Help me to see clearly what Your plan is for me. Help me to stay close to You always, not living in the past, but pressing forward to the new things You have in store for me. Thank You for working Your eternal glory in me. I cast my cares on You, knowing that my trials and troubles are only temporary. Thank You for Your eternal blessing on my life today and always. Thank You for directing and guiding me. Thank You for nourishing my heart and mind as I daily put my trust in You. Show me Your ways so that I can walk with You all the days of my life. I praise You for Your faithfulness in my life. You are worthy to receive all the glory and honor. I believe that You are making a way out of no way, so I look for Your hand of blessing and mercy in every area of my life.
Abba Father, help me to understand all the power you have for my life. Help me see how I am a steward of that power, how you want to use Your power in and through my life. Please Lord, open my eyes to the possibilities your power can have for my life, then give me the faith today to use it. Help me think clearly today. Help me exercise the self-control that You desire for me. I don’t want to slip back into my old ways. I want to live for You. Help me to this end I pray. Sometimes I feel like my life is hopeless, Lord. It seems that I am serving out some kind of sentence. Lift that burden from me and let me experience life the way You meant for it to be. Help us to honor You this day in all that we do. May Your love shine through us as we meet and talk to our friends and associates. Give us a cheerful attitude and a willing heart to give of our lives to others just as You gave Your life for us.
Abba Father, we acknowledge you as the author and finisher of our faith. You are also the supplier of our visions. Teach us how to discern your vision for our lives. Help us in our times of testing to exhibit the discipline necessary to press for mark of the prize of your High Calling. Grant us the spirit of wisdom to lead those whom you have given to our care to the place of hope and fulfillment in you. Not by our power, but by your Holy Spirit we believe that we will be victorious. In Christ’s name we pray, Amen.
