Prayer
Dearest loving Abba Yahweh, today I choose to take captive every thought that is contrary to Your will. I repent for anything in my life that is displeasing to You. Empower me today by Your spirit so that I can bring honor to You. Lord, thank You for Your hand of blessing in my life. Thank You for choosing to work through me today. I submit myself and my resources to You. Show me ways to be a blessing to others so that the earth will be filled with the knowledge of Your glory. Thank You for empowering me by Your spirit to do everything that I’m called to do. Thank You for Your hand of blessing upon me as I submit my ways to You. I declare: I can do all things. Thank You for Your faithfulness and strength at work in my life today. I choose to consider Your ability over my circumstance. I choose to trust You. I give You praise, honor and glory, now and always.
Lord, several times, my heart despairs and is tempted to grow bitter. Forgive me Lord. Help me to understand You better. You are conscious of my situation and Your solutions are always on time. Thank You for Your abiding presence. Thank You that there is no where I can go that You will not be there. Father, You know how dark my world can become. Help me to remember to turn on the light of faith, prayer and Your word so I can navigate the trail You have in front of me today. I will move forward today, step by step, with faith, focusing on the light You give me. Thank You that I can walk in Your presence and I choose to do so. I choose today to walk in Your life-giving light. Lord, I am so glad I can come to You in my human frailty. I ask forgiveness for my unbelief. I need You and trust You to speak to me, comfort me and guide me into a deeper faith.
Dearest Father God, I love You Lord and I esteem You as my Lord and my Savior. Thank You that You willingly left Your home in glory to be despised and rejected by man and to suffer and die for my sins. Guide me as I guide my family to esteem You as Lord of our lives. Your gifts are so wonderful, Lord. Please don’t allow me to take them for granted. We pray that in the middle of our failures, you would be at work shaping in us the capacity to serve the people with a sense of lightness, and for the sake of love. Help me to live for what is important this day, so that I might truly be ready for all the days to come. By your Spirit, help us to live worthy of the calling with which you have called us. In the marvelous name of our savior and Lord Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen
