Verse of the Day,
Obviously, I’m not trying to win the approval of people, but of God. If pleasing people were my goal, I would not be Christ’s servant.- Galatians 1:10 (NLT)
Prayer
Gracious heavenly Father, I am quite sure I will never even begin to fathom the full truth of your image and likeness. Still, I thank you for revealing yourself to your people through Scripture. I praise you for being the almighty creator, the worker who brings all things into existence, the sovereign over all that you have made. I thank you Lord for making human beings in your image and likeness. Thank you for honoring us as bearers of your image.
Abba Father, thank You for sending Your Son, Jesus, to redeem me and restore me. Thank You for making me new and covering me so that I can stand strong against temptation. Today, I submit every area of my life to You and invite You to have Your way in me. Have mercy upon me, Lord. I apologize for all the times I have judged another person’s faith, when my own faith is in such need of help. Remove the enormous plank from my own eye, O God that I might truly begin to see. .
May our family be ready to preach the good news of the gospel and not be ashamed of what we believe. Help us always to be ready to defend our faith when we see our fellow believers under attack because of their faith in Jesus. We thank you for inviting us to share in your labors. May I do so today with gratitude and faithfulness. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
Bible Promise of the Day
If you believe in Jesus, you will not be disappointed. Our Father Lord promises that because of Jesus, we will not be shamed
Therefore it is also contained in the Scripture, “Behold, I lay in Zion A chief cornerstone, elect, precious, and he who believes on Him will by no means be put to shame.” (1st Peter 2:6)
Prayer Quote of the day
On every occasion of uneasiness, we should retire to prayer, that we may give place to the grace and light of God and then form our resolutions, without being in any pain about what success they may have. In the greatest temptations, a single look to Christ, and the barely pronouncing his name, suffices to overcome the wicked one, so it be done with confidence and calmness of spirit.
