Prayer
Abba heavenly Father, today I put my faith and trust in You. I declare that Your ways are higher, Your thoughts are better, and Your plan is what will remain. I surrender my will and my ideas and receive the direction You have for me. I thank You for ordering and directing my steps. I choose to trust You even when doors close before me. I believe that You have my best interest at heart. I am ready and available. I stand looking for the open door You have for me. Help me to see all the great things You are doing in my life and begin to share the joy and wonder of knowing You with those around me.
Abba Father, You know my needs. You know my desires. You love me, and today I hear Your voice say, “Come”. So I come to You dear Lord with open arms and heart. I come to You in humility and anticipation to receive all that You have for me. Help me to cast all of my cares upon You because You have promised to care for me. Help me to follow Your example and care for others not just with words but with actions. Help us to live in response to your work in our lives. We have unleashed forces of darkness and chaos in our own lives and in the world. You have restored light and order by your rule in our lives and in the creation you entrusted into our care.
The waters are rough sometimes, and I need something to keep me from sinking. Thank You for throwing me a lifeline; Jesus Christ the Lord. Lord, we are grateful for the astonishing work that you have done for all human beings and for the creation itself. You alone have done what we have been unable to do. We have sold ourselves for nothing, and you have bought us back at the cost of yourself. Father, help me to hear You. Help me to understand the depths of Your word. Help me know Your truth. Guide me by Your Holy Spirit, I pray. We ask this in the matchless name of Jesus Christ, Amen
