Prayer
Dearest loving Father in heaven, thank You for Your grace and mercy in my life. Thank You for believing in me, for giving me a hope and a future. Today I choose to stretch; I choose increase; I choose to rise up higher so that I can be all You’ve created me to be. Lord, today I choose to enter into rest. I choose to trust You. I choose to put my faith and hope in You knowing that You are good, and You have good things in store for my future.
Father, in the quietness of this moment, let me hear You confirm Your unfailing love for me. Right now, I put my complete trust in You. Please, dear God, show me the way I should go, for I lift up my soul to You. Rescue me from any trouble today, O LORD, for I hide myself in You. Teach me to do Your will, for You are my God; may Your Holy Spirit lead me today. Help me to make choices in my life that will honor You in all that I do. Make it clear to my family and friends that we all need to make choices daily between good and bad. Give me the strength to be the leader to those that look to me for direction and may my words and deeds exemplify Your name. Dear Lord, I am Your disciple. Help me live for You. Today I give my life to You, please live out Your purpose in me. Lord, I need to know that You are watching me. You are the source of my confidence and security. Lead me to spend all of my time pursuing Your love and protection.
O Lord, how I thank you for your forgiveness. There is little in life more wonderful than the knowledge that you truly forgive me, not just for the little sins, but for the big sins as well. Yet you have required us to confess our sins to you so that we might experience your forgiveness. Through Christ, full forgiveness is ours. When we hold back from telling you our sins, however, we close our hearts to the wonder of your cleansing. So, help me, Lord, to tell you the truth about myself. Even and especially when I feel ashamed about my sin and am tempted to keep quiet about it, help me to speak openly to you, so that I might know the freedom and joy of forgiveness. Most of all, Lord, I thank you for taking my sin and guilt upon yourself, offering righteousness and freedom in exchange. All praise be to you, O God, for the forgiveness I have through your grace in Christ. Amen
